June 29, 2004: UDE Launches Superpowered Action Card Game
While mainly centred around the Batman family of characters, Upper Deck Entertainment have launched a DC Comics Universe Role Playing Card Game.Batman, The Dark Knight, and a whole host of the World's Greatest Super Heroes and Super Villains in comic book history are featured in the latest release for the Vs. System™, DC Comics Origins. Be a part of the action as the defenders of Gotham City take on The Joker, Catwoman, The League of Assassins, and many other dangerous and deadly foes.
Players can join the fight for justice, taking the side of Batman, Robin, The Teen Titans, and many other popular costumed crime-fighters from the DC Comics Universe, or they can hatch evil schemes of their own, adding villains including The Riddler, Ra's al Ghul, and The Joker to their decks.
The Batman vs. The Joker two-player Starter Set contains everything players need to get started, and DC Comics Origins booster packs, containing even more cool new plot twists, characters, equipment, and locations, are available for players looking to take their game to the next level. In addition to bringing this exciting part of the DC Comics Universe to life, DC Comics Origins is also fully compatible with all other Vs. System™ releases.
