October 19, 2006: “Smallville” Season 5 HD-DVD Details
TVShowsonDVD.com has posted new info regarding the up-coming release of "Smallville: The Complete Fifth Season" on HD-DVD.Scheduled for a February 6, 2007 release, the 5-disc box set will retail for US$79.98 (which is around $20 more expensive than the regular DVD collection).
The HD-DVD collection contains all the same bonus material as the regular DVD collection, but adds an additional "in-program experience" for the season 5 premiere episode "Arrival", in which the Special Effects artists detail how they created the special effects sequences seen in the episode.
Additionally, the HD-DVD set will contain full 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound, with all episodes presented in 1080p image quality.
