STLToday.com reports that a "small explosion" at a uranium conversion plant in Metropolis, Illinois caused a disturbance this week, not just literally, but politically.

    A small explosion at a uranium conversion plant in Metropolis, Ill., has added fuel to the fire of an ongoing labor dispute.

    The incident occurred Sunday at the Honeywell Metropolis Works. It was just one day after company-hired replacement workers restarted production of the nation's sole uranium conversion plant after a two-month shutdown.

    No one was injured. No damage was done to the facility. And no dangerous materials were involved, according to the company and regulators.
