January 22, 2010: "Waiting for Superman" Documentary

No, it's not a documentary about Superman fans waiting for the next Superman film.

Paramount - which has been touting a return to acquiring and funding low-budget films - made big news on the opening day of Sundance 2010 when it announced the acquisition of Davis Guggenheim's Documentary Competition title WAITING FOR SUPERMAN, an indictment of America's public school system.

The film is Superman related in title only, but we thought it worth mentioning.
