November 17, 2008: Beethoven & Superman

Fans of Superman and classical music living in Nashville, Tennessee will want to get along to the Laura Turner Concert Hall later this week to hear Michael Daugherty's internationally famous "Metropolis Symphony."

Critic David Hurwitz called this suite based on the Superman comic strip "jazzy, snazzy, faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive." The concert begins with 20-year-old prodigy Stefan Jackiw performing Beethoven's immortal Violin Concerto.

The concert is being held across Thursday, November 20 to Saturday, November 22.

Visit the Nashville Symphony website for more details and to purchase tickets.
