Bob Holiday

June 2, 2008: Monthly Update for Superman Bob Holiday Website

If you haven't checked out SupermanBobHoliday.com lately, do it soon! This newly re-designed, official website for Bob Holiday (the first and only actor ever to portray the Man of Steel on the Broadway stage) will have its "Broadway Memories" section updated in the next few days with new content.

Currently, the "Broadway Memories" section of this site features bios of Holiday, star of the 1966 musical It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman, and Patricia Marand, Broadway's original Lois Lane; the bios were excerpted from the 1966 souvenir program. Starting June 4th "Broadway Memories" will feature "On-Stage Antics, or What Can Go Wrong in a Live Show," a description of how Holiday and the late, great song-and-dance man Jack Cassidy (playing Daily Planet gossip columnist Max Mencken) kept the show fresh night after night using the venerable theatrical tradition of subtle improvisation. This new "Broadway Memories" entry will also describe the one night that Bob's flying cable broke and how the show must (and did) go on without missing a beat.

Log on to SupermanBobHoliday.com now to find out more about the star of Superman's unforgettable 1966 Broadway triumph!
