May 5, 2008: Superman Exhibit at “Summer of Superman” Event in Cleveland

Superman fans living in Ohio might like to make the trip to Cleveburg on Sunday, May 11th, for the start of the "Summer of Superman" celebrations at the North Coast Comic Con at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights.

Jamie Reigle, known as Superman Homepage member clevelandmos around here, will be showcasing some of his massive Superman collection at the convention...

"Superman" memorabilia collector Jamie Reigle will exhibit a portion of his ridiculously huge collection. He'd need the whole hall to show all 30,000 pieces.

The one thing he does not have are "Superman" comics, which is odd. That's where comic collector and dealer John Haines comes in. He'll display dozens of rare "Superman," "Action" and "World's Finest" comics worth thousands of dollars. And he would love to talk to people about how their mothers threw out their valuable collections.

There also will be a roomful of dealers with comics selling for as little as a quarter.

More details, including a list of special guests, can be found at the Cleveland "Plain Dealer" website or the official North Coast Comic Con website.

Jamie tells us that the 'party' the night before will feature members of both the Siegel & Shuster families.
