March 11, 2016: India Film Board Cuts Scene from "Batman v Superman"

Batman v Superman Fans in India will see a slightly edited version of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" when it opens in theatres later this month.

India's Central Board of Film Certification has deemed that one scene showing "a fleeting nude figure" needed to be cut from the film. Even though the film received a UA rating in India (which is almost equivalent to the PG-13 rating in the USA), the scene was deemed too much.

The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) was very keen that the film be seen by youngsters. But some of the content isn't completely suitable for viewing by underage audiences. While the violence is done in the spirit of a comicbook adventure, the film was rated UA (suitable for underage viewers accompanied by an adult), with just one visual cut... of a fleeting nude figure.

It's unknown who the offending nakedness belongs to in the film, but it is being reported that it is just an exposed lower back that was the Board took issue with.
