January 29, 2016: Fan Film Adapts Jeph Loeb's "Sam's Story" Superman Tale

It All Goes Away Superman fans may recall that in June 2005 Sam Loeb, son of long-time Superman writer Jeph Loeb, passed away aged 17, after a 3 year battle with cancer. In "Superman/Batman #26" Jeph Loeb wrote a story titled "Sam's Story", about a boy named Sam who serves as the inspiration for Clark Kent to later become Superman... An emotional tale that touched the hearts of fans everywhere.

Filmmaker Zachariah Smith, who has adapted Jeph Loeb's story into a short film, released the trailer for his film online this week. The short film is titled "It All Goes Away".

    A coming of age story set in the heartland of Kansas. Two boys learn how to deal with tragedy and choice. One is named Sam, the other, Clark Kent.

"It All Goes Away" will premiere at New York's Dusty Film Festival on May 1, and will be posted online on May 10.
