November 8, 2002: Smallville - Seaon 2, Episode 8: “Ryan”
The official Warner Bros. website gives the following description for "Ryan", the next new episode of "Smallville" which is due to air on Tuesday November 12th at 9pm in the U.S.Clark (Tom Welling) pushes his abilities to the limit to save his telepathic young friend Ryan (guest Ryan Kelley) from an evil doctor who wants to control the boy's abilities. Meanwhile, Nell (guest star Sarah-Jane Redmond) tells Lana (Kristin Kreuk) they are moving to Metropolis.
Michael Rosenbaum, Sam Jones III, Allison Mack, Annette O'Toole and John Schneider also star. Terrence O'Hara directed the episode written by Philip Levens.

Meanwhile, the TV Guide has published the following description for the same episode...
Ryan: This taut episode illustrates why the Superman saga has soared in the ratings so far this season. The plot continues to develop the show's mythology, as Clark meets up again with Ryan, a teenage mind reader the Kents befriended last season. This time, Clark tries to protect the teen from a scientist who has been conducting cruel experiments on the boy. Meanwhile, Lex crosses swords with Smallville's corrupt mayor (The X-Files's William B. Davis) over a potential business deal that could have serious ramifications for the town.
