Smallville

January 26, 2002: "Smallville" on Monday and Beyond

The WB network has announced that a special airing of "Smallville" will take place on Monday, January 28th. The episode titled "Rogue" is set to air at 9pm EST in place of the episode of "Angel" that was previously announced.

The next new episode of "Smallville" is due to air on Tuesday, January 29th at 9pm. Titled "Shimmer", here is a description of the episode from the WB:

A teen girl's (guest star Azura Skye, 28 Days, Zoe...) obsession with Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) turns life-threatening when invisible attacks in Luthor Mansion pits Clark (Tom Welling) against an undetectable enemy. Meanwhile, Clark is thrilled when Lana (Kristin Kreuk) looks to him for companionship after Whitney (Eric Johnson) inexplicably pushes her away.

Allison Mack, Sam Jones III, Annette O'Toole and John Schneider also star. D.J. Caruso directed the episode written by Michael Green & Mark Verheiden.

Following "Shimmer", the TV Guide reports that the next new episode of "Smallville" will air on Tuesday, February 5th and is titled "Hug". Here's the description from TV Guide for this episode:

A crooked businessman who can get people to do whatever he wants by touching their hands sets out to buy the Kent farm so he can build an industrial plant in Smallville. Meanwhile, Clark and Lana argue over a physical confrontation between Whitney and a town hermit. Whitney: Eric Johnson. Lana: Kristin Kreuk. Clark: Tom Welling.
