September 7, 2011: "Man of Steel" Lands in Chicago

The new Superman movie "Man of Steel" set down in the city of Chicago today, with local TV news media reporting on the event.

    Crains Chicago business reports, two popular skyscrapers will serve as notable structures in the film. The Chicago Board of Trade building will be turned into the famed exterior of the Daily Planet where Clark Kent works. While the floors of the Willis Tower will serve as the interiors of the newspaper office.

    As with most movie shoots, there will be street closures. Be sure to look out for blocked streets and parking restrictions on south Wacker, Wells and Franklin streets.
