October 2, 2010: Matt Reeves Not Approached for Superman Movie

Superman Movie News "Cloverfield" director Matt Reeves, whose name (according to Deadline.com) was supposedly on a short-list of directors to be interviewed by Christopher Nolan to direct the next Superman movie, says he has never been approached.

"First of all, I'm very flattered, because I think there's a lot of very interesting filmmakers on that list," said Reeves. "But frankly, I haven't met with him, and it's really, I'm sure, just a rumor."

Nevertheless, Reeves has high hopes for the next Superman film, which Nolan will be producing. "I'm sure it will be an amazing project," Reeves said. "I have tremendous respect for Chris Nolan, and I think that the Superman myth is an incredible story."
