Richard Lester, the Director of record on the theatrical version of "Superman II" (1980) and the Director of "Superman III" (1983), has donated his archive to the British Filim Institute. The BFI National Archive yesterday announced that it had acquired more than 60 boxes of letters, scripts, notes, receipts and photographs covering Lester's 40 year career in the TV and movie business. Lester, 78, retired from film-making after an actor died during the filming of "The Return of the Musketeers".
Lester rarely speaks about his work on the Superman franchise so it should be interesting to see what items are included among the donation regarding "Superman II" and "Superman III". Read the source article here.
