September 4, 2018: Will Another Kryptonian Appear in The CW Superhero Crossover?

While it was announced recently that both Lois Land and Superman would be appearing in The CW's superhero crossover event in December, it now appears that another, previously unheard of, Kryptonian will also make an appearance.

According to ThatHashTagShow.com, The CW are casting for the role of "Lon-El", looking for a male actor of any ethnicity in his 40s, with the potential to play older than their actual age.

Not a character name that has appeared in the comic books, Lon-El is described as "a mysterious visitor who is from another planet and is both ambiguous, inscrutable and has the power that is teased as nearly infinite".

Who this character could be, what his relationship is to Kal-El and Kara Zor-El remains to be seen. Is he Kryptonian? Is he indeed from the House of El? This major recurring guest star role is sure to add some intrigue to the upcoming story.

Another new character being introduced to appear in the 3-episode crossover is Dr. Elias Kern, described as "a psychiatrist with his own mental health problems, Dr. Kern is a brutal sociopath who appears to be starting to lose his grip on reality". The CW is looking for a male in his 30s, open ethnicity to play this role.

The special 3-night crossover event will begin in "The Flash" on Sunday, December 9 at 8.00pm ET, and then continue in "Arrow" on Monday, December 10 at 8.00pm ET, and will conclude with "Supergirl" on Tuesday, December 11 at 8.00pm ET.
