November 1, 2017: Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Became Superman

Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau turned up to the House of Commons for Question Period on October 31 dressed as Clark Kent, revealing the Superman "S" shield underneath his shirt as he walked past photographers.

As he bounced down the stairs of the House he ripped open his shirt saying, "It has to be done".

Trudeau later took his family "trick or treating" telling reporters that they should be impressed, after all, he was dressed as a journalist.

This isn't the first time a national politician has been connected with Superman. Then-Senator Barack Obama posed for a photo in front of the large Superman statue in Metropolis, Illinois in 2006.

In the comic books, while both Superman and Lex Luthor have had their turn in the presidential role, Superman has met with actual presidents in various comic book stories over the years.
