November 18, 2010: Executive Producers Talk "Smallville" Series Finale

Smallville Season 10 A number of media outlets had the chance to catch up with "Smallville" executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders this week, and ask them all about the 10th and final season, and what's ahead for Clark and friends.

Here's an excerpt from the interview posted at StayingInWithVlada.com...

There have been a lot of big moments so far this season, especially for Lois and Clark. Is it difficult deciding what to do now and what to leave for the series finale?

Souders: It is, but what we've come to realize on the show is that if you can move the ball down the field a little further, it just seems to work better for us. There are things like the end of the 200th [episode] when they were lifting off the ground. That was not something we were planning to do at that point in the season, but it just felt like the right thing to do at the right time. We tend to go with our fan gut [Laughs], wanting to push the envelope versus holding it all off.

You've still got some big stuff for the finale, I'm sure.

Peterson: Oh yeah! [Laughs] The finale, we're all really excited about. We just feel like we have to really earn it and get there, so our focus right now is everything up until the finale.
