James Gunn Already Editing “Superman” Footage as Filming Progresses

James Gunn has revealed that he’s already editing together scenes for the upcoming “Superman” movie, even though the production is still in the early stages of filming.

When asked if it was normal to be editing together footage while they were still shooting, Gunn responded by saying, “When shooting a movie for five months it’s really normal to edit. I can pick up shots if I need to but, more importantly, I can start turning shots over to VFX so they’ll be awesome by the time we lock the picture. Most films are put into theaters with subpar
effects because the edits were rushed.”

Interestingly, James Gunn today randomly posted an image of the original “S” shield seen on the cover of “Action Comics #1”.
