June 22, 2008: DC Creators Attending Wizard World Chicago
SUPERSTAR DC CREATORS COMING TO WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO CONVENTION ON JUNE 26-29Geoff Johns, Gail Simone, Ethan Van Sciver, Tony Daniel, Alan Burnett, Shane Davis, Bruce Timm, Brian Azzarello And More Will All Be Attending
Wizard World Chicago will host a spectacular assortment of talent currently creating for DC Comics. Many of the company's influential and fan-favorite writers and artists will be on hand to greet fans and drop clues about the future of the DC Universe.
Among the writers in attendance will be Geoff Johns (Action Comics, JSA, and Green Lantern), Gail Simone (Wonder Woman), Alan Burnett (the animated "Batman Gotham Knight"), Bruce Timm ("Batman Gotham Knight"), Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets, "Batman Gotham Knight"), Greg Rucka (Checkmate, "Batman Gotham Knight"), Russell Lissau (The Batman Strikes!) and Sean McKeever (Countdown and Teen Titans). These guests are responsible for producing some of the most exciting and important events in the DC Universe.
Equally impressive is the list of notable artists assembled for Wizard World Chicago. Attendees Ethan Van Sciver (Green Lantern), Tony Daniel (Batman), Shane Davis (Superman/Batman), Jim Calafiore (Gotham: Underground), Freddie E. Williams II (The Flash), Gene Ha (Justice League of America), Aaron Lopresti (Wonder Woman), Joe Benitez (Justice League of America), Art Baltazar (Tiny Titans) and Mike Norton (Green Arrow/Black Canary) represent the diverse artistic roster DC has assembled to produce their monthly titles.
Wizard World Chicago will also premiere the highly anticipated film, "Batman Gotham Knight". The direct-to-DVD release is an anthology comprised of six animated short films that make up the gap between the theatrical release "Batman Begins" and the July sequel, "The Dark Knight." Creators Alan Burnett, Bruce Timm, Greg Rucka and Brian Azzarello will be on hand for the premiere and its accompanying panel.
Wizard World, the largest family-friendly comics and pop culture convention in the central US, returns to Chicago June 26-29 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. For a complete list of events, registration forms, guests, panels, ticket prices, and times, please visit www.wizardworld.com.
