June 15, 2008: Wizard Q&A with Kurt Busiek
Wizard Universe has a short Q&A with "Trinity" lead writer Kurt Busiek. Among the issues addressed is how Busiek's approach to plotting "Trinity" differed from the plotting of prior weeklies like "Countdown". According to Busiek:
- [W]e weren't given marching orders. Unlike Countdown to Final Crisis, Trinity is not countdown to "something." We're not setting something up for somebody else to pay off. Act three of the Trinity series is the pay off. We get to do it ourselves. So what I was asked for essentially was "It's Superman. It's Batman. It's Wonder Woman. It needs to be a big story and explore their relationships to each other, their importance to each other and the DC universe and beyond. Make it good!" [laughs]
