The CW has released a gallery of 9 photos from the 2nd episode of Season 6 of “Supergirl”.
Titled “A Few Good Women” this episode is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Tuesday, April 6 at 9.00pm ET/PT.
THE BREAKING POINT
As the stakes with Lex (Jon Cryer) are raised higher than ever before, Lena (Katie McGrath) must decide how far she is willing to go to stop her brother. Meanwhile, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the team are faced with a challenge unlike anything they’ve ever dealt with before and it brings Alex (Chyler Leigh) to her breaking point.
Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Robert Rovner & Jessica Queller and teleplay by Jay Faerber & Jess Kardos.
I’m thinking one of two things will happen with Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor. Either he’s going to survive the final season of Supergirl and then move onto the Superman and Lois series, where the General Luthor of that series would probably reluctantly have to team up with Superman in order to go up against Cryer’s Lex, or Cryer’s Lex might not survive this final season of Supergirl. Those are my theories for the Lex Luthor of the Supergirl series. Or they could do something that I’m not expecting.
Or what if Cryer’s Lex moves to the Superman and Lois series and decides to team up with Superman in order to take down General Luthor. A “this world isn’t big enough for two Lex Luthors” scenario jealousy type of plot.
I don’t watch Supergirl, but based on what I’ve seen of Cryer’s Lex in the crossovers, I honestly think he should be written off at the end of that show for good. Superman & Lois would benefit from distancing itself from Supergirl and, to be honest, I really don’t like that version of Lex. I don’t think he fits into the Superman & Lois show, the guy has too much of a “mean girl” attitude to carry any actual gravitas as a character, let alone a villain. You do have a point. Superman and Lois is doing very well without mentioning Supergirl’s series. After watching five episodes, I’m getting the impression that Superman and Lois is a kind of soft reboot of Tyler’s Superman. For example the fortress of solitude looks more like an ice cave rather than the traditional crystallized Kryptonian Donner setting that Supergirl’s show adopted in the start of the series. Also the scene where Superman proposes to Lois is different from the Else Worlds crossover. I just realized that actor Daniel Cudmore played the character Subjekt-11 from episode three “ The perks of not being a wallflower”of Superman and Lois. He also played colossus from the X-Men movie series. Did he audition for Superman for a movie at one point? I thought I heard something about that but I’m not sure.
