Filming Wraps on “Supergirl”… Forever

It’s a wrap! Filming on “Supergirl” is done. The cast and crew of The CW series took to social media to post their farewells as the series concluded filming for the sixth and final season.

On her Instagram account Melissa Benoist wrote, “Thank you for an incredible 6 years – the cast who became family, everyone who worked on the show, all of you who watched us week after week.”

Time really flew. No pun intended. This series has gone on a little over half a decade. A six year run for a series is something to be commended. It seems like it was only yesterday when Supergirl had her pilot. Now Supergirl’s journey is coming to a close. I will miss seeing Melisa in the role of Supergirl. While I didn’t agree with everything that they did on her show(and believe me there were a lot of things that I didn’t agree with), I always enjoyed seeing Melissa play the Girl of Steel. There were some good times on this series. The first season on CBS was a stand out!! I could watch that again for sure. That’s what money will do!! I’m sure they did what they could with the funds available when they moved to the CW. I’m going to finish watching this series as for me it’s kind of respect thing. Just do to it’s association with Superman.
