Pruitt Taylor Vince Cast as Jonathan Kent for New “Superman” Movie

According to TheWrap.com, Pruitt Taylor Vince has been cast to play Jonathan Kent, Clark Kent’s adoptive father, in the upcoming 2025 “Superman” movie.

Pruitt Taylor Vince has appeared in many movies and TV shows, including an Emmy Award winning role in “Murder One”. He will next appear in Apple TV’s “Lady in the Lake” starring Natalie Portman, and has had recurring roles in “Stranger Things,” “The Walking Dead” and “The Mentalist”.

Previously known as “Superman: Legacy”, the cast of the film, now simply titled “Superman”, features David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

Directed by James Gunn, “Superman” is scheduled to be released July 11, 2025.
