August 10, 2014: Luncheon to Honor George Reeves in North Hollywood

George Reeves Jim Nolt, Superman fan and creator of "The Adventures Continue" fan site, will host a luncheon honoring both George Reeves and Superman's co-creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, commemorating their 100th birthdays in 2014.

Nolt will be hosting a luncheon Saturday, Aug. 16, at the elegant Beverly Garland Hotel in North Hollywood. He's got some pretty impressive guests lined up for the event.

Special guests will include Siegel's daughter, Laura Siegel; Jack Larson, who played Jimmy Olsen on the “Adventures of Superman”; Jack O'Halloran, who portrayed Non in "Superman: The Movie"; Paul Bernbaum, the screenwriter for “Hollywoodland,” the 2006 movie about Reeves' last days; John Rockwell, star of a proposed 1961 Superboy television series; Lou Ferrigno of TV's "The Incredible Hulk;" and Richard Erdman, who appeared as Sergeant Hoffman in 1953's “Stalag 17” and worked with Reeves in the 1953 film "The Blue Gardenia."

"There will be more than 100 fans, some coming from as far away as Australia," says Nolt. "Each guest will receive a commemorative coin."
