April 1, 2008: Special “Superman: The Movie” Screening
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas is putting on a special screening of "Superman: The Movie" to celebrate the 70 year anniversary of Action Comics #1.
Date: Sunday April 27th
Times: 1:00pm/7:30pm
Cost: $6.25/$8.25
- With a multitude of Superhero movies dropping this summer and the 70th anniversary of Action Comics first issue falling in April 2008, we felt like it was a good time to honor the KING of all Superheroes. That's right; we are talking about the last son of Krypton. Join us at the Alamo Lake Creek for a special screening of Richard Donner's 1978 film starring the venerable Christopher Reeve. In addition to the screening we will be giving out prizes for the customer with the best superhero costume and also giving prizes for Superman trivia. So, start sewing up the holes in your custom lycra bodysuits and iron out the wrinkles in your cape and we'll see you there!
