May 25, 2004: Superman Movie Ready to Fly?

I told you these rumors seem to group together. For weeks we'd heard nothing, now within days we've heard three new reports. The latest one comes from Dark Horizons, who have a source that claims to have mail on who the top casting choices are for the new Superman movie.

Supposedly, Henry Cavill has been pencilled in as the actor to take on the lead role. Cavill seems to be the fan's favorite choice and is supposedly in favor with Director McG as well.

The final decision on who will be Lois Lane is reportedly down to either Rose Bryne or Selma Blair.

Adam Brody (from The OC) is supposedly tipped for the role of Jimmy Olsen, with Topher Grace a close second.

The WB execs are putting the heat on Johnny Depp to accept the role of Lex Luthor after he blew everyone away with his audition. Depp is supposedly unsure about accepting the role as he's also booked to do "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory".

The report also claims that Warner Bros. are looking for Superman to be released in the U.S. Summer of 2006.
