Warner Bros. Hires Writer for Live-Action “Wonder Twins” Movie

Wonder Twins

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has hired Adam Sztykiel, who worked on the upcoming “Black Adam” movie, to write and direct an original live-action feature for HBO Max based on the Super Friends cartoon characters, the Wonder Twins.

Simply titled “Wonder Twins,” the project will tell the story of Zan and Jayna, alien siblings who became household names in the 1970s when they first appeared on Hanna-Barbera’s “The All-New Super Friends Hour” alongside Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League.

With their catch-cry “Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!” Jayna would be able to turn into any animal lifeform required, while Zan could take on any type of water-based shape.

Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are attached as producers. No release date has yet been announced.

I’m sure that this will be an interesting film to see, but can we please, please, please get a Brandon Routh Superman Movie trilogy seporate from the DCEU and a Brandon Routh HBOMax Superman series? How about a Superman multiverse film? One where Brandon’s Superman teams up with Henry’s Superman and Tyler’s Superman? From what I hear, it was a success for Spider-Man No Way Home. ( I still haven’t seen that film yet, so please no spoilers.) If they make a Routh Superman, Cavill Superman, Hoechlin team up film, I’m positive it would be a huge success.

So, not even a whisper of a Superman movie, but they have time and money to throw at this!?!? Sometimes I think that WB wants the DCverse to fail.
