The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that KJ Apa and Isabel May have been cast as Zan and Jayna for the “Wonder Twins” project for HBO Max.
Apa is best known for playing Archie in The CW’s “Riverdale”, while May is known for playing Elsa Dutton in the “Yellowstone” prequel “1883”.
Written and directed by Adam Sztykiel, and produced by Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, “Wonder Twins” is based on the teenage superheroes first introduced in the 1970s “The All-New Super Friends Hour” cartoons.
With their catch-cry “Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!” Jayna would be able to turn into any animal lifeform required, while Zan could take on any type of water-based shape.
Warner Bros. has not announced a release date as yet.
Since we’re on the topic of HBOmax, can we please get a Brandon Routh Superman HBOmax series?
Spidey, at the very least they should give us Brandon in a limited series. Show us what happened between SR and crisis and then let him leave on a high note. Give us superman fans SOMETHING.
I won’t lie, when I heard the rumors about zod killing baby kal el in flash, I lost what little faith I had in Hamada’s regime. They hate Snyder so much that they would cut off their nose to spite their face.
I’ve heard of fans like ourselves wanting a limited HBOmax series. It’s a great idea, but call me greedy( and can anyone really blame me for wanting this?) what I really want is for a full series for Brandon on HBOmax. I have no problem with each season being 12 episodes. Maybe they could go for 7 or 8 seasons, but a solid 10 season would be a dream come true for me. Who is asking for this?? Wb/dc’s decisions have truly baffled me. I hope the new Discovery crew cleans house and bring back a proper Superman.
