I’m a huge fan of this latest take on Superman. Especially since it’s my second favorite Superman actor returning to the role. I’m not a fan of what they did to him in his last scene, but I’m hopeful and optimistic that we’ve haven’t seen the last of him.
Give us a Brandon Routh Superman Kingdom Come series WB!
😀 I would even settle for a show on HBO Max

I really like Brandon’s point of view on who Superman is 🙂

I hope Brandon and Tyler’s Supermen have more interaction in the upcoming episodes. Brandon looks freaking great even though I can tell the contact lenses to give him blue eyes are irritating him a bit and they had to put that weird thing on his upper lip like they did in SR which I never understood what that was about but thankfully it doesn’t seem to show up on-camera.

He does look great as Superman again MattComics. 🙂
It’s so good to see him back in the Superman role again.
I hope that they have more interaction in the remaining episodes as well.

I also noticed his eyes, but it didn’t occur to me about the contacts. What is it on his lip? I do always notice the moustache shadow.

Brandon has been excellent and I never doubted his abilities in the role, I just wish Singer and co had the same confidence in him.

Some tells me the reason why Luther traded places with Superman, Lex sent Superman back to the Earth where he came from before it got destroyed so he can bring back the Justice League with him so they can join the fight. That’s just my opinion.

Here’s a thought, what if the name Superman is plural in the title for the upcoming Superman and Lois tv show? What if every 10 minutes of the show they switch between what is happening in Tyler Hoechlin‘s Superman‘s world and what is happening in Brandon Routh Superman‘s world?
They do it in arrow all the time. Only they do it with time instead of worlds.

Of course it’s just a thought. I’m most likely wrong though. It would be really cool if it were the case.

Really, really hoping that Routh’s Superman is in the final battle and that the Lex thing is just them messing with us. There’s two more parts and it seems like the stuff in the trailer is from part 4 which would still leave part 5 wide open.

Same here MattComics. I’m also hoping that Routh’s Superman will fight Lex and win. It would be fitting since Lex had been out to get Superman from the start of this crossover. I hope that if they do fight, Lex will be taken to prison by Routh’s Superman after losing the fight the same way Gene Hackman’s Lex was taken to prison by Reeve’s Superman. It would be an excellent homage to the first Superman film.

Here’s another suggestion WB. How’s about a Superman Red vs Superman Blue movie? Considering Routh’s Superman has a lot of red in his suit and Cavill’s Superman has a lot of blue in his, the title explains itself. They meet, they clash, they reconcile, they team up to fight a bigger threat. It could even be part of a Kingdom Come Superman trilogy. Part one would be about both Supermen fighting Magog separately at separate times. Magog and Lex team up. By the end of the film both Supermen meet for the first time. Part two they would fight each… Read more »

Again this is only one of many suggested ideas I have that they could go with Routh’s Kingdom Come Superman.

“I think what makes Superman such a great hero at his core, is that he shows us the best that is within us.” “Even if Superman didn’t have all of his abilities, he has all the great characteristics that make him care about humanity. I think he is a shining example of what we can hope to be as human beings. That’s certainly what I try to learn from him. And his example everyday”-Brandon Routh Brandon described the hart of Superman. This is one of the many reasons why he deserves his own Superman series. Please make it happen WB.… Read more »

I’m actually a little mystified with the CW putting Brandon and Tyler in the same scenes as Supermen. Tyler can hold his own as Superman in scenes with Melissa, but when you put him next to Brandon, he suddenly looks and acts like a little kid his mommy put in a Superman suit (complete with hair clips holding his cape on). Not the kind of image you want if you’re planning on him headlining his own series. I would have expected Tyler to be driving the scenes instead of fading into the background every time Brandon’s Superman shows up.

Hopefully they will fix the look of Tyler’s Superman suit once production starts. As for Tyler’s Superman not being a big focus as much as Routh’s Superman, I think it’s mostly because Brandon hasn’t been in the role in 13 years. So they focus a lot on his return. And man does he still fit the part! Give Brandon a Superman series WB! 😀

Nice Nightcrawler picture. He’s one of my favorite X-Men. Respect. 🙂
