In an interview with Variety, Phoebe Dynevor talks about her new role in the film “Fair Play,” but also reveals what it was like auditioning for the role of Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming movie “Superman: Legacy”.

“It was a whirlwind and then I realized that it was over, but it was great,” she says, explaining that Lois Lane is the type of role she wants to play. “She saves Superman. She’s the brains; she’s actually the fearless one.”

As we know, the role went to Rachel Brosnahan, who was chosen over the many other actors who also auditioned for the part.

The cast of “Superman: Legacy” features David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

Directed by James Gunn, “Superman: Legacy” is scheduled to be released July 11, 2025.
