May 21, 2021: Jack Quaid Talks About Voicing Superman for "My Adventure With Superman"

Jack Quaid might be best known for playing the vigilante Hughie Campbell on the Prime Video superhero series "The Boys," but Superman fans will get to hear him as the voice of Clark Kent/Superman in the upcoming animated series "My Adventures With Superman".

In an interview with CinemaBlend.com, Quaid reveals that he read a lot of Superman comic books for research, gravitating towards Grant Morrison's "All-Star Superman".

"To research it, I read All-Star Superman, which is such a good graphic novel. It's incredible. I've always been a fan of Superman, but I've become like a rabid Superman fan ever since really diving into research. I'm really excited to be a part of it and really excited for audiences to see it. I think we have a really cool take on a really classic character. It's awesome."

As for what fans can expect from the upcoming HBO Max/Cartoon Network animated series, Quaid explains, "It takes place when Superman, Clark, is a bit younger and he's just starting to work for the Daily Planet. You meet Lois, you meet Jimmy, and all the characters we've come to know and love. What I like about it is he's just starting. He doesn't really quite have a grasp on being Superman yet, and that was a really fun thing to play."

Actors Jack Quaid ("The Boys") and Alice Lee ("Zoe's Extraordinary Playlist") will lead the "My Adventures With Superman" voice cast as Clark Kent and Lois Lane, respectively. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation with Register ("Teen Titans Go!") serving as executive producer. Jake Wyatt ("Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus") and Brendan Clogher ("Voltron: Legendary Defender") are on board as co-executive producers and Josie Campbell ("She-Ra and the Princesses of Power") as co-producer.
