October 27, 2021: HBO Max "Val Zod" Project Lands Writers Darnell Metayer & Josh Peters
According to Deadline.com, Michael B. Jordan's "Val Zod" project for HBO Max has landed writers Darnell Metayer & Josh Peters to pen the story for the HBO Max adaptation.Jordan's Outlier Society is producing the project about an alternate version of Superman for DC Entertainment and Warner Bros Television.
Set on "Earth 2" of the DC Multiverse, Val Zod is a black Kryptonian who, like Kal-El, found refuge on earth.
Metayer & Peters have written for many film and television projects, including "American Snow," "The Nola" and "Hannibal".
It's remains unclear whether Michael B. Jordan will star in the project, but he will be an executive producer alongside Elizabeth Raposo. No release date has been announced as yet.
