July 26, 2021: Fan Fixes "Superman IV" Nuclear Man Final Scene
Superman fan Aaron Price from A Price Production has painstakingly remade the final Nuclear Man sequence from the movie "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace," fixing one of the biggest problems from that film."One of the biggest sequence of Superman IV that many people had issues with was Lacy Warfield in space," Aaron explains. "Here is my complete sequence full frame with Lacy no longer in space sequence NOW with a new ending demise for Nuclear Man."
The sequence sees Superman flying at incredible speed to avoid the sun's light rays reactivating Nuclear Man. Taking him out of the solar system, where his fate is left unknown in a worm hole. Using the shadow sides of the planets as cover. This replaces the original open door of the Nuclear Reactor in the theatrical version.
So why a wormhole? Aaron explains that he created a bit of a backstory for this... After Superman disposed of the hydrogen bomb from "Superman II," which released the villains, energies of both the Phantom Zone, created an ever increasing hole in space, resulted in a huge wormhole into an unknown destination. Once Nuclear Man was disposed of the disruption of the release of energy from Nuclear Man caused the wormhole to collapse and explode.
