August 22, 2021: Rare Superman Itens in Heritage Auctions Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction
A number of rare pieces of Superman artwork and statues are amongst a large assortment of collectibles up for auction in Heritage Auctions' latest Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction.The Alex Ross "Superman: Peace on Earth" Cover Original Art is expected to go for over $16,000, while CGC VG+ 4.5 graded copy of "Superman #2" from 1939 will be sold for around $7,000.
Other items of note include Kurt Schaffenberger's original cover art for "Superman #162" from 1963 and a Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding splash page original art featuring Superman in his black recovery suit alongside Steel and Superboy from 1993's "Superman #81".
The Heritage Auctions Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction will run from September 8-12.
