October 4, 2019: New "Ultimate" DC Universe Timeline Redefines Continuity
At the New York Comic-Con, DC co-publisher Dan DiDio announced today that the DC Universe was going to be given an expansive and definitive timeline going forward.
In heavily redacted graphics, DiDio outlined the basics of the new continuity, featuring four "Generations" reaching all the way back to World War One and extending to the present day.
The first generation features Wonder Woman's debut, the second generation starts with the emergence of Superman, and the third, according to the article, covers Crisis on Infinite Earths.
The changes are, according to DiDio, to create a story that is consistent.
Though blurred graphics depicting the timeline are available at varying places online, they are as-of-yet unclear. As more is officially released, or better sources made available, we will bring you more information as this develops...
