Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch, who plays Lois Lane on the “Supergirl” TV series, has posted a new photo from the Kent Farm set of the upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover in which she and her Superman/Clark Kent, Tyler Hoechlin are posing with “Smallville” Clark Kent, Tom Welling.
Welling, who together with his own Lois Lane, Erica Durance, will be returning to the role of Clark Kent for The CW’s upcoming 5-part event, which will begin on “Supergirl” on Sunday, December 8.

Tom Welling please, please, please don’t let them talk you into saying that,”That as long as the world has Supergirl, it doesn’t need Superman.” Hopefully too this time Tyler’s Superman has more purpose then just catching Lois JS. Other then those worries. Looking forward to it.

With all due respect I don’t really care anything about Tom Welling being apart of this unless he is going to be putting on the suit this time around. if he isn’t then he might as well stay home.
I’m 100% sure he’s going to be wearing what you see him wearing in the pics released.
He wouldn’t wear it in the show, they had to CGI a Superman in full costume because he wouldn’t wear it.

I wonder what the height difference is between Brandon and Tom. Who’s taller?
I’m 6’2″, and when I got a pic with Welling and Rosenbaum at RCCC in 2018, he was maybe an inch taller than me. I’ve never met Hoechlin.
*Looking a little more closely, at least part of it is perspective of how the pic was taken, but he still looks pretty big. Excuse me, I’m off to the gym…
I just thought of some interesting facts about Routh as Superman. Routh has been in at least four different versions of a Superman suit.
1. The never made Superman Flyby suit. Some photos can be seen on line somewhere.
2. The kryptonian space suit from the deleted beginning intro to Superman Returns, which was also shown when he crashed landed back to the Kent farm.
3. The Superman Returns suit
4. And finally his new Kingdom Come Superman suit.
Just some fun facts.
Let’s say, for the sake of argument, they’ve somehow talked Welling into an actual Superman suit. Maybe the same Superman Returns suit used in the finale (I know he only wore the top and everything else was CGI). Does Routh get to say something like “nice outfit”?
Good question. I don’t know. I do remember hearing that Routh couldn’t wear the Returns suit for some reason. It was mentioned at his comic con panel in Sandiago where he first revealed his new S insignia. So I don’t know if Welling could if Routh couldn’t. I’d like to see the comic season 11 suit used for the event. It had a really cool look to it. It would be interesting to see the Returns suit used for Welling as well. I’m kinda hoping that there will be a scene where Brainy asks all three versions of Superman for help, and that the response would be from all three of them asking at the same time,” Which one? Him or me?” A nod to the animated series Legion of Superheroes season 2 part 2 premier.
I just also wanted to clarify that I didn’t go to the San Diego comic con event. I wish I had gone. There was footage that someone had taken of Brandon showing the fans his Kingdom Come t-shirt that hinted of his new suit, and they had posted that footage on YouTube.
I guess his audition footage for Superman Returns in a Superman practice suit would count as a suit number 5. Although I don’t know if it had the S insignia on it. I remember seeing the footage somewhere on YouTube. Although the audio was cut for some reason.
Tom is 6’3” Tyler is 6′ even
Just a hope, but what if Tom wears the suit, and they keep that fact hidden until the episode premieres?
I think it would be cool to see and I will be glad to have been wrong about this if he does show up in suit (and I mean actually in suit not a CGI mini-me flitting about like the finale) but I’d bet not having to wear the suit was a condition of his coming back. He’s probably got it in his contract.
Ok, given how barrel-chested Welling is now, I can’t help thinking he should be the one in the KC costume and Brandon gets a more contemporary one.
But Welling probably wouldn’t want to do that and I think Brandon is actually eager for all this so I think it’s probably for the best.
Yeah, his size and the salt and pepper he’s got going on really looks more KC vibes than Routh. Aside from looking young, Routh is also too pretty, he doesnt have that ruggedness that KC should have.
