The CW has announced that the sixth and final season of “Supergirl” will premiere on Tuesday, March 30.
“Supergirl” will occupy the Tuesday 9.00pm time slot while “Superman & Lois” takes a 2 month mid-season break that was caused due to a pause in filming due to COVID-19 filming restrictions. “Superman & Lois” will return May18 to take back over the Tuesday time slot, at which point “Supergirl” will take a mid-season break.

According to NPR, as of this morning, 82 million COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the US, we’re not quite at “critical mass” for herd immunity, but we are getting closer. I’m not a habitual watcher of Supergirl, but so far I’ve seen more that I liked in Superman and Lois than I didn’t like (the “political debate” between Lois and Lana’s husband is a bit too much straw man for me… I just opened a can of worms, didn’t I?!) SM2878, can’t say I blame you. As far as the last son of Krypton…so far so good.
Yeah, I just feel that politics would always exclude some fans from Superman. If his politics remain in the unknown then the fans can decide for themselves on what Superman and his family’s politics are. I don’t even like to mix Superman into my own personal politics. I also feel that it takes away a certain amount of innocence from Superman whenever politics is involved.
So if I’m understanding this correctly, does this mean between now and the fall we will be getting either Superman and Lois or Supergirl on tv every week? If so, great! I won’t have to wait long to watch something I like. 🙂
I hope that everyone on the set and in the production of Superman and Lois stays safe and healthy and avoids this virus.
