This is who Superman is. He’s a friend. He’s everyone’s friend. He cares about everyone. Hearing Chris’s voice in this video talking about Superman being that special friend that cares about everyone, brings inspiration and hope. Thank you Adeel of Steel for making this wonderful and hopeful video of Superman. 🙂

Chris had such a good understanding of who that character is and why he appeals to people. You don’t have to do every little thing exactly like those movies but you also can’t come at it from a cynical mentality or a need to deconstruct, compensate, or apologize. From the cape to the glasses you have to very sincerely embrace it. When that sincerity isn’t there, the audience can tell.

I think when you can do that the audience will go with you because deep down..they would like to see their friend again or meet him for the first time.

That’s why WW2 release date keeps getting shuffled around. Like it or not, what we’ve got Superman wise, to look forward to at this point, is the Snyder JL cut.… Read more »

There’s nothing about what Chris described that wouldn’t “fly” today. If anything it’s needed more than ever.

Well said MattComics. The world could use a friend right now. And that friend is Superman.
