As part of an online fan movement demanding Warner Bros. get moving on putting a new Superman movie into production, YouTube video creator Adeel of Steel has uploaded another new video titled “Henry Cavill Superman Support Trailer.”

MoS was great !! A major issue was deciding to skip a sequel where they could have expanded on his character. If they did move ahead with Henry it would at this point have to be a total re-boot,…… AGAIN.
Like it or not, there’s a huge fan base that supports Snyder’s version of this character. If they can possibly continue with Henry without erasing his previous portrayal in it’s entirety then they may have something. For right now, I look very forward to his contiuning role in the up and coming ZS’s JL.
I thik there is/was a fanbase to see Snyder’s vision to completion only because they butchered JL so much. There was/is not a huge fanbase for his “Superman” vision imo. That’s a huge difference.
Going back to going all-in on Snyder is not the answer anymore than trying to course correct mid-stream of JL to keep the release date was. The failure of Joss League doesn’t make Snyder’s stuff good by default.
MattC…..Your right, it doesn’t. BUT…at least it will put the entire structure of Zack’s version back in perspective. At the very least we’re not going to be starting off a movie with Superman looking like he just got out of a Kryptonion dentist chair.
True. and in fairness I can respect wanting to at least see the movie as intended allowing it to stand or fall on its own rather than being this thing that’s really neither fish nor fowl. And yes it’ll also have the virtue of not having mustache-gate so it’s got that going for it.
Adeel of Steel does make impressive fan trailers. I hope that he makes a fan trailer for Brandon Routh to promote a possible Superman series on HBOmax. I really like his fan video of Routh’s Superman seeing Reeve’s Superman at the fortress that he made earlier this year.
Nice. I know this is a trailer to support a new movie, but as a side note, seems there’s no need for concern they won’t bring him back at this point, with Affleck back on, and the same actors for WW and Flash movies. Not to mention the interest in the Snyder JL cut. It wouldn’t make sense to not bring him back.
About the only way they could without a total re-boot, would be to have him in a story line that’s kind of stand alone without any of the same Perry, Lois, Daily Planet and other Snyder additions. The way things are right now it would be a real stretch to see him again in surrounding with an entirely new cast and no one from the Snyder world.
I don’t think WB gives a rats a– what the fans think or want. They are ONLY interested in one thing, the mighty dollar! Period! That’s my 2¢ worth.
You do have a valid point. That they would want what would make the most profit from a Superman film. On the other hand though I do think that what fans want carries some weight. If they ignore what fans want from Superman, they could miss out on an opportunity to make a lot of money out of a Superman movie. What I do believe, is that if they were to make a Superman movie starring both Routh’s Superman and Cavill’s Superman in a multiverse team up movie, it could potentially make a lot of money. So yes,I do see… Read more »

I’m fine with Henry because I think he has a lot of actual love and understanding of the character but only as long as it’s without Snyder and that they’re not tied to his vision. Now I’m not sure how you do that exactly, if you either do a clean start with the same actor or just forge ahead counting those films as continuity but not dwelling on them anymore than is strictly necessary.
Whatever the case I hope if he is returning he gets a more genuine opportunity to play *Superman* this time ‘round.
