Henry Cavill has been busy these past few days promoting the upcoming premiere of Season 2 of “The Witcher” on Netflix, and inevitably he’s been asked about Superman time and time again.
Henry tells “Lorraine” that he’s “ready and waiting for the phone call” to return to the role of Superman:

I hope nobody takes this the wrong way, but this is the third time in two months that he’s said that he’d like to come back. @Superman2878, you make a good point. And I’m inclined to agree with you. However, have you thought about another perspective? How about this perspective? Perhaps Mr. Cavill continues talking about his desire to play Superman as a sort-of a “hidden message” to the world to say that it’s actually WB’s bumbling, fumbling and bad decision-making that is the cause of him not coming back as Superman. Perhaps this is Mr. Cavill’s broadcast to the world that, “Hey, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m here and available to play Superman again. But if you guys look deeper… Read more »
I do agree that WB keeps messing up when it comes to Superman in recent films. The work speaks for itself on how bad that they mess up. However if Henry is trying to relay a hidden message that they keep messing up, I really don’t think it needs to be said. I look at it as when the fans speak of wanting an actor to come back, then that’s a sign of how good the work is speaking for itself. The man is a successful and in-demand actor. He doesn’t need Superman to boost his career at this point, he just wants to play him because he’s attached to the character, knows his fans would like it, and wants another chance to make Superman a bona fide hit!
I’m all for it!
I’m not saying that he’s not high in demand, from what I hear the Witcher series is giving him a lot of spotlight, but what I am saying is that maybe he should focus more on movies. Correct me if I’m wrong, because I don’t follow Cavill’s career, but I can’t think of any recent movies that he starred in as the lead role and main character. That maybe he should make his name even bigger than it already is before asking WB to come back.
