On the back of yesterday’s claims from The Hollywood Reporter that the future of the DC Universe on film is in flux, with the third Wonder Woman film now dead in the water, and Henry Cavill’s return as Superman very much in doubt, DC Studio’s Co-CEO James Gunn has taken to Twitter to post his response.
Using an image of Alex Ross’ Justice League, Gunn wrote, “As for the story yesterday in the Hollywood Reporter, some of it is true, some of it is half-true, some of it is not true, & some of it we haven’t decided yet whether it’s true or not.”
“As for more answers about the future of the DCU, I will sadly have to ask you to wait. We are giving these characters & the stories the time & attention they deserve & we ourselves still have a lot more questions to ask & answer.”
Fans will just have to wait to see what eventuates once DC Studios finalize their plans.
They’ll have to recast (especially Armie Hammer), but I’d like to see Justice League Mortal finally make it to the screen, if only because of how crazy it sounds.
No thanks
So you’re saying that you’d rather keep Armie Hammer?!
lol, touche. Let’s just say I’d rather not any ideas come from JL Mortal.
I would actually be in favor of animated films of projects like this and superman lives, but not a live action version.
