SUPERGIRL producers unleashed this super-hot trailer at Comic-Con 2019, packed with highlights from season four and a sneak peek at the future that threatens National City in season five – plus new footage featuring an official first look at Supergirl’s brand-new supersuit and brief glimpses of two new faces: DC character Andrea Rojas aka Acrata (played by VERONICA MARS’s Julie Gonzalo) and renowned reporter William Dey (played by GAME OF THRONES’s Staz Nair).
The 5th season of “Supergirl” will premiere on Sunday, October 6 at 9.00pm.
It’s always nice to see a show aimed at teenagers is also clearly written by teenagers.
I’m not sure having not being let in on the secret identity makes enough sense as the primary motivator for having Lena turn to the dark side completely or at least turning to the “I’m not the villain even though I’m doing tons of shady s**t.” side.
I definitely saw this coming since season 2. Lena shows up, becomes Supergirl’s BFF, Kara doesn’t tell her that she’s really Supergirl, and then Lena turns bad because of it. I’m guessing that this will not go well for Lena in the long run. I predict that at the end of this upcoming season or beginning of the following season, she will end up in prison. I will be surprised if Kara manages to convince Lena to change her ways so that she won’t be making a mistake that will lead her to prison.
I think it was the in the 3rd season but not too sure, I honestly thought the character of Supergirl was becoming proper annoying, moaning about Jimmy and Shott, about her fella going away, about the big bad and all other stuff and then she finds out Lena is still using Kryptonite, but lena is using it for good, Supergirl comes across all righteous. At that point I was ready to switch off and then one scene saved it…..Kara ends up in a lift with Lena, Lena not holding back then starts to talk about Supergirl claims to be a… Read more »
I guess Kara and Lena are technically frenemies at this point. They aren’t technically friends since neither one of them truly trusts the other, and they aren’t technically enemies since nether one of them has tried attacking the other directly yet. I have a feeling that that’s going to change and that they will become enemies this upcoming season. I do feel that I am stating the obvious though.
Same thoughts here.
That last shot was just…..Terrible. Seriously, that’s the best they could come up with??
Sooooo Lena wants to physically hurt Kara because she didn’t tell her that she’s Supergirl??? Some friend. I guess for Supergirl, with friends like Lena who needs enemies.
I wonder what’s with the Joker like laugh at the end of the trailer?
They seem to be regurgitating the Lex/Clark dynamic from Smallville, because god forbid this show does anything even remotely original or unique to its own protagonist. It’s also the same flimsy motivation for arbitrary drama that all these CW shows thrive on.
