Braniac is my top choice for the villain of the next solo Superman film, so I’m glad to hear Henry likes him (not that Henry’s personal preference is necessarily taken into account when they’re writing the script lol)! Henry often sounds very well-read in the comics when he does interviews! I really love that he’s done his research and seems like a fan!
Brainiac is waaaaaaaay overdue and in general audiences need to know that Superman has more than just Luthor and Zod. (They couldn’t even let go of Zod for doing Doomsday!)

But what can we do when the people who are in charge only know Superman from the Christopher Reeve movies?
It’s time for Brainiac to make his big screen debut in a standalone Superman movie. It’s time for audiences to see Superman face a villain who is both physically powerful as well as intellectually challenging. Also, as much as I love Brainiac, I would also like to see Parasite and Silver Banshee be in a Superman movie.
Maybe Brainiac being on the Krypton series will lead up to him in the next movie sequel. Only time will tell I guess.
Is it possible that he was hinting brainiac as the next villain?
I do think that Metallo should make his apearance in the franchise as well since he hasn’t had one yet either.
Other villains who I believe should be in the sequels are:
1. Bizzaro
2. Mr. Mxylcksplick(I always have trouble spelling that name)
3. Parasite
4. Eradicator
5.conduit
Conduit could be a very fascinating villain since his hatred is set mostly on Clark Kent instead of Superman.
Although I’m not sure how Mxy could be done in this current DCEU.
I’m not sure how the cyborg superman could be done in this series either. I don’t think it could work with that character honestly.

Mxy would be better off as a re-occuring villain in a Superman tv series. Mxy’s great but IMO he can’t carry a movie. In fairness that is one thing with some of Superman’s villains that should be considered, in the serial format they really shine but for something like a 2 hour film that’s different. I think Brainiac would be a great villain, though how many alien invasion movies can they do? I would have liked to have seen a Cyborg Superman introduced somehow, maybe with the motherboxes as a source? I’d like to see all options explored just to get away from the “invaders from space” genera. Maybe if Brainiac is already here from Zod’s ship and is in code or something? My votes are for Brainiac and Conduit. Metallo and Parasite maybe as side villains somewhere down the line. I️ enjoyed ‘the death of Clark kent’ storyline back in the day and think a spin on that in movie form could be a good way to reintroduce Clark Kent. He also played a role in ‘dead again’ which was a decent Brainiac storyline. I️ definitely want a more personal story for the sequel. Don’t need a world ending event.
I think that they should bring back Conduit for the comics. It’s been about 20 years I think since they had him in the comics.
Agreed. Not sure how well received he was back then but I️ always found him to be a viable threat to Clark/Superman. I️ enjoyed the more personal story of ‘Death of Clark Kent. Not everything needs to be a slug fest in the middle of Metropolis. Smallville stadium does just fine haha
I see what you’re saying, because Superman fought Conduit in Smallville stadium. It took me a while, but then I remembered that issue of their final confrontation.
