Update on “Superman: Legacy” Production Preparations

Superman: Legacy

In a post on his Threads social media account, director James Gunn has given us an update on how things are going for the production of the upcoming film “Superman: Legacy”.

When asked if he could share any updates on production preparations, Gunn responded with, “It’s going swimmingly. Sets being built, costumes being finished, actors studying roles, prosthetics and VFX models being made, flights booked. Here we go.”

With cast and crew no doubt taking some time off for the festive season, it sounds like everything is in full swing, ready for production to begin in March in Atlanta, Georgia.

The cast of “Superman: Legacy” features David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

Directed by James Gunn, “Superman: Legacy” is scheduled to be released July 11, 2025.
