Tom Welling Talks 10 Years of “Smallville” and the Idea of Playing Superman

In a new episode of his “Inside of You” podcast, Michael Rosenbaum sits down with Tom Welling to look back on their years on “Smallville,” how Tom felt being such a newbie on the set in Season 1, upcoming “Smallville” projects, and whether he’d ever consider playing Superman in the future.

At one hour, eleven minutes into the episode Michael asks Tom about the idea of playing Superman all these years later, after 10 seasons of seeing his character’s grow to become Superman. Tom refers to the idea of the Multiverse and how film and television are embracing the concept. “I think it’d be cool”.

Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling are aiming to pitch the idea of a “Smallville” animated series, with discussions reportedly taking place with Warner Bros. next month.
