Superman Winners at 51st Saturn Awards

Saturn Awards

The 51st annual Saturn Awards were held last night (February 4, 2024), with the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films announcing the winners in an event that was held at the LA Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel and livestreamed on ElectricNOW.

“Superman & Lois” was nominated for three awards, with the TV series successfully winning the Best Superhero Television Series, beating out “Doom Patrol” (HBO/Max), “The Flash” (Warner Bros. Television), “The Sandman” (Netflix), “Secret Invasion” (Marvel/Disney+), “She-Hulk: Attorney-At-Law” (Marvel/Disney+) and “Stargirl” (Warner Bros. Television).

Unfortunately Tyler Hoechlin did not win the Best Actor in a Television Series award. That went to Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: Picard). While Elizabeth Tulloch was also beaten out for the Best Actress in a Television Series award by Caitriona Balfe (Outlander).

On the animation side of things, “My Adventures With Superman” was nominated for Best Animated Television Series or Special, but that award was won by “Star Wars: The Bad Batch”.

However, the “Superman 1978-1987 4K Collection” from Warner Home Video won the Best Film Home Media Collection award, winning out over the Arsene Lupin Collection (Kino Lorber), Irwin Allen: Master of Disaster Collection (Shout Factory), Mr. Wong Collection (Kino Lorber), Shawscope: Volume Two (Arrow Video), Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror, Volume 2 (Universal Home Entertainment), and Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary 25 Film Collection: Vol. 4 (Thrillers, Sci-fi, Horror) (Warner Bros. Home Entertainment).

Congratulations to the people behind both “Superman & Lois” and the “Superman 1978-1987 4K Collection” on winning Saturn Awards!
