“Superman & Lois” Kent Farmhouse Set Demolished

Kent Farmhouse
It looks like the fourth and final season of “Superman & Lois” may be moving away from Smallville.

A farm on River Road West in Ladner (British Columbia, Canada) had been the permanent filming location of the Kent Farmhouse in Smallville for three seasons of the TV series “Superman & Lois”. Now that set is gone!

The Superman Homepage received confirmation from the Ladner Business Association that the Kent Farmhouse, which has been an integral part of the series, serving as the backdrop for key moments in the lives of Clark Kent/Superman and his family, has been taken down.

It’s unclear if this means they won’t be using the Kent Farmhouse location in Season 4 or if they’ll be using existing footage for any exterior shots… It may also signal a possible move back to Metropolis for the Kents, especially in light of Lex Luthor’s recent injection into the storyline.

As the production team works on bringing the fourth season to life, fans will have to wait patiently for more details on how the absence of the Kent Farmhouse will shape the storyline. Whatever the reason, change is on the horizon for “Superman & Lois”.

With a total of 10 episodes, the fourth and final season of “Superman & Lois” will premiere some time in 2024.

They killed the show by making it a depressing chick flick. Do any women actually watch this show? You would have thought that the entire audience were women the way they catered to Lois’ cancer situation. Isn’t it a fact that most guys watch super hero programming and movies. I liked the two boys, but Lois was way too much to endure. I said from day one that she can’t act and her scenes were boring to watch. I am glad that John Henry may be gone. I always hate “Team Superman” stuff, when Superman can handle just about anything.… Read more »

This is sad news to see. I admit that. However, the Kent house is only part of the show. Not the heart of the show. I am very grateful that the CW will at least give the show a proper send off by the ending of season four, unlike other superhero shows they had aired on their network and had abruptly canceled without giving a conclusion to their stories. This show has been top-tier quality from day one. Each season and episode was of movie quality. And the acting was beyond super. Tyler Hoechlin as the man of steel Superman… Read more »

I love this TV show! Although the Kent farmhouse set is demolished, I think it’s okay because I think they storyline will move to Metropolis. I miss the Daily Planet and all of the glory that Metropolis has to offer (granted, the show’s budget is decreased now, so we probably won’t get to see much). Whatever happens, I’m looking forward to watching season 4!

In regards to Superman flying around for the fourth season, I’m thinking that they might reuse some footage from previous seasons. That way they keep the movie quality of his flights and solving at least part of the budget concerns for the special effects.
