Howard “Pepper” Martin, the actor who played “Rocky” in the 1981 movie “Superman II,” has died, aged 85.
A professional wrestler in his early years, Martin is best known to Superman fans as the bully in Dick’s Diner who belittled Clark Kent, knocking him to the ground after Clark gave up his powers to be with Lois Lane. At the end of the film, powers restored, Clark comes back to the diner to teach Rocky a lesson.
Surrounded by his family, Martin passed away on March 18 following a long battle with cancer. Our condolences to his family and friends.
“Your seat’s in there four eyes…” Very memorable performance in S2.
My deepest condolences to Mr.Martin’s family and friends. May Howard “Pepper” Martin Rest In Peace.
that’s the mark of good acting, when you hate the character but respect the actor for playing the role
