Serial Box, who produce sci-fi and fantasy that you can listen to or read on your device in bite-sized chunks, today announced the upcoming release of original stories based on The CW’s “Arrow-verse” characters – “The Flash,” “Supergirl,” and “Arrow”.
The first story to be published will be “The Flash: Rogues”, which will be written by the husband and wife team of Christopher Rowe and Gwenda Bond. Superman fans will remember Bond’s excellent work on three Lois Lane novels published in recent years.
While none of the actors are scheduled to lend their voices to the productions, the stories will be written in collaboration with the producers of the shows.
In “The Flash: Rogues”, the world is turned upside down by dark forces, the Flash is now the fastest rogue alive. But does a hero still live inside him?
In this original story based on the popular The CW TV series, The Flash is now bad to the bone thanks to Lex Luthor’s meddling with the timeline. Now in league with the villainous versions of Arrow, White Canary and Supergirl, Shadow Flash wants to take down the city he once swore to protect. But even as our heroes go rogue, Barry Allen’s friends and loved ones still half-remember a time when Barry wasn’t all bad, and must fight to correct the timeline and restore our heroes to the right side of justice.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to super-serve fans of these incredibly popular series with new stories,” said Serial Box co-founder and CEO Molly Barton. “We look forward to working closely with the Berlanti team to ensure that their creations make a seamless transition to our audio and reading formats.”
“The Flash” 8-episode story is available to pre-order now from SerialBox.com.
