October 18, 2020: Superman Spotted on the Set of "The Batman"
Location shoots for Matt Reeves' "The Batman" took place this past weekend at various location around England, with a number of photos leaking online on social media.A couple of photos show someone wearing a Superman costume... but it's not what you think. The costume is obviously a store bought Halloween costume indicating that the scene being filmed is likely a costume party of some kind.
While some fans are adamant that this means Superman exists in this universe, it could simply be that Superman, Wonder Woman, and other characters are fictional comic book characters, and people are just dressing up in those costumes.
Directed by Matt Reeves and written by Reeves and Mattson Tomlin, "The Batman" stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Peter Sarsgaard as District Attorney Gil Colson.
"The Batman" is scheduled to premiere in theaters on March 4, 2022.
